Wind River Backpacking Trip

Now that Joel's back I feel safe to announce that he's been gone for the past week on a backpacking trip with the Varsity Scouts. It was a 6 day hike up in Wyoming.
For those of you who know me and have yet to meet Joel and are now thinking to yourself, "Sara married a guy who camps and hikes and fishes?" The answer folks is yes. And all I can say is the gospel is true! Thanks to a loving Father in Heaven who calls Bishops who in turn call people like my husband to serve in the Young Men we can have a fulfilling marriage where Joel can marry a woman like me and still have the opportunity to do all those other things.
There were 6 leaders, 6 youth and 10 million mosquitoes. There was no reception up in the mountains so we didn't get to talk all week long and I was so happy today when he came home (even though the stench magnified by my pregnant nose was quite unbearable.) Here are some fun pictures from his trip. It looks beautiful! And unfortunately COLD. It's been in the 80 & 90s here in Utah County but when you go up in the mountains it gets significantly colder. The fact that there is still snow on the ground kinda shows how cold we're talking here. Enjoy!

JOEL IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS.

THE WHOLE GANG.

THE FISH JOEL CAUGHT. A quick disclaimer: joel was not out fished this week. He caught the most & the biggest!

THE BUGS THEY LIVED WITH. Joel probably has over a hundred bites!

THE FLOWERS JOEL BROUGHT BACK FOR ME. Ok he didn't bring the flowers back but he brought me pictures of them!

SOME OF THE LAKES & SCENERY.
