little miss determination

this little girlie was walking back and forth in the hall with her hands behind her back. it was...strange. she just went back and forth, and back and forth all the while with her hands behind her back. finally, inbetween a load of dishes and a load of laundry i picked her up. she immediately started to cry. so i put her back down and without missing a beat, she put her hands behind her back and started walking again. this is the moment i realized what she was doing: practicing walking!! she was trying to do it without depending too much on her arms for balance. i was amazed by her determination. she did it for about an hour and now today she is walking like a pro! i can't believe it. she is much steadier on her feet and doesn't have nearly as hard of a time balancing herself. i'm quite sure this little beauty is going to accomplish some wonderful things in her life and i know this will be a story i will share with her again and again.

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter/Conference Weekend at my Dad's house. We did puzzles, ate, played games, ate, watched conference, ate, colored eggs, cooked and ate some more. It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Stake Pioneer Trek Activity

hahaha...this is Emma Green, Shyenaia Luna (two of our "daughters") and Me & Joel in our pioneer get-ups Wednesday night at a Stake Mutual. The other Ma in our ward (Tiffany) made all of my stuff: bonnet, apron & skirt; talk about talent! She spent so much time making everyone else's stuff she didn't have enough time to do her own. But she did make her daughter, Paige this adorable bonnet. Love it!

We had a lot of fun playing pioneer games and square dancing. We're really excited for this summer. Even though it's a lot of work for everyone involved, I think most people are really getting in the spirit of things and getting super excited. More to come!
