Trick or Treat?

Many of you know my lovely son, Miles has been asking if he can go trick or treating. I always say yes, on Halloween. Well, he asked again and I thought, you know what? Yeah! You can. I got to work making dreams come true. My status on facebook read:

attention: miles wants to go trick or treating. anyone willing to give us candy if we show up at your house in costume? this is not a joke.

My wonderful brother Michael called me moments later and asked, "what time do you want to come over?" YES! I spent the next little while tracking down some costumes for Scarlett and Isaac. Thanks to grandma Miles and Landyn have costumes they affectionately wear around the house and sometimes in public. Weedle lent me Alia's caterpillar costume and Jennie lent me Jude's Tigger costume. We were set. Landyn got here at 6p. Joel got home around 6:15p. We ate a delicious dinner consisting of Garlic Herb couscous, Lime & Honey Chicken, green beans & Texas Toast. (and it only took me about 40 minutes to prepare) First we went to Emily's work and got tons of hard candies that they give to clients. Then Michael's place (the picture above) and got TONS of candy: butterfingers, kit kats, gummi bears, it was awesome! Finally uncle Paul opened the door in a blonde wig and gave the boys some celery. The response:
MILES- "oooooh. Yummmmy!"
LANDYN- "I don't want mine."
Good news: he had candies for them as well. However, Miles did eat both of the stalks of celery.

it was a wonderful un-halloween
