What an exciting day! First of all, mom is always right. (Not me, my mom.) Here are the first pictures of our little beauties. Baby AA is our adorable little girl, weighing in at 12 oz. She is closest to the cervix and so she gets to be AA. Baby BB is our handsome little man, weighing in at 11 oz. He's hanging out up above his sister close to my right rib cage. (I thought I felt something like a head up there.) They're both very healthy and active. Everything measured the way it should. Their due date is still March 2nd minus 3-4 weeks. Why they don't just say February _ _ is beyond me, but they don't. I'm doing great and everything is the way is should be.

The ultrasound tech was awesome! She described everything that she was seeing, what she was measuring, etc. I really feel like we're in good hands. Dr. Ball came in next and confirmed the sex of our babies and told us we'll be in to see him every 3-4 weeks to do more ultrasounds and make sure we're still on track. He said at this point it looks like we're good to go for a vaginal delivery which is wonderful. He really seemed like he couldn't be happier about the state of our twins. They are in separate placenta (which means they're dizygotic but not necessarily fraternal according to the ultrasound tech) and obviously NOT identical (no matter how much they look alike they've still got one huge difference.) Dad and I saw that one immediately and looked at each and mouthed "boy". I've never been really good at understanding ultrasounds but these are so clear, it's hard to miss a thing. I'll spare you that pic but dad is proud. ;D

Here are some shots of their little feet. I just loved these! So she gave us quite a few. I'm really happy with the way things have turned out. Joel gave me a blessing last night cause I was have a little pain in my uterus (turns out it's just growing really fast and tenderness is quite normal) but after the confirmations we had today, I couldn't be happier about this pregnancy. The good news: I have boxes and boxes of boy clothes so we're pretty good there. The more good news: I get to get excited about
pink & ruffly little bloomers & hair bows (as long as they get the LaClaire genes on that one). Anyway, enjoy the photos!

What a perfect way! I am so jealous:) Congrats and good luck. You look so beautiful in your 1st trimester shots. That is so exciting!
I think having one of each is so wonderful. I'm super happy for you both. And I know you're going to love having a little girl. The dresses and bows and dolls...so much fun!!!
I'm so excited for the LaClaire Family right now, this is great news! Congratulations.
That is soo exciting. I love ultrasounds. Those ones are sooo clear too. You know why they don't just say Feb. because sometimes you do carry them full term. One of my best friends sisters was supposed to have her babies 3 weeks earlier than her sister, Janell, and Janell was the one that ended up having her one boy 3 weeks early and the sis with twins went the full 40 weeks. :) That's why.. they don't want to completely give your hopes up that you don't have to be preggy the WHOLE time ;) Yeah!
but i don't want to be preggy the whole time!!!
Congrats! That is so exciting. I must say I am a little jealous... I always thought it would be great to have twins, one boy one girl. Have fun shopping for girls. Lots of fun!
Sara!!!!!!!!!! How exciting! What a wonderful time in your life. Hope all continues to go so well!
